in the winter of 2017, i hoofed it through many a colorado blizzard. i traversed a snowy campus daily and chose to in a pair of white 2016-ish air forces. by the time summer came, those bad-boys were beyond cooked. i started to wonder, why doesn’t the all-conditions force exist, beyond a boot? what if it didn’t have to? what if they had arrived with options for snow? a shoe for your shoe—an over-shoe. the next year, i prototyped that very concept, three times. i’d like to remain hirable, so i won’t show those models, but in october of 2021, i returned to the idea. The Yosemite is a swiss-army-shoe.

designed around a sandle of sorts, The Yosemite, is built-out for any and all seasons; any condition you’ll encounter. starting off with a moccasin for daily wear and tear, then an inner sock insert for cooler weather months. next up, a full-tread sole for rain and snow, and a wedge sandal for when warmer days return. that’s a full year tackled.
